A 25-year-old woman was stabbed by her paramour’s 16-year-old son, who was frustrated over the problems that she had caused in his family.
Around 10.30 pm on Tuesday, Thasim Banu was at home when the accused arrived and stabbed her with a butcher’s knife.
According to the Chandra Layout police, they received a call informing them of a stabbing incident. The inspector, who was on rounds, immediately rushed to the spot and found a profusely bleeding Thasim. She was first taken to a nursing home and from there shifted to Victoria Hospital.
“Thasim allegedly had an affair with the accused’s father. His parents would frequently fight over this. He was frustrated about this and on Tuesday night, stabbed her and escaped,” the police said.
A case of attempt to murder has been registered against the accused.
