252 Trainees Join Indian Army

BANGALORE:  A total of 252 trainees from the Army Service Corps Centre (North) joined the ranks of the Indian Army at an impressive passing out parade held recently here.

The recruits were administered the oath of allegiance and devotion of duty by the regimental religious teachers.

Brigadier Alok Tripathi, Commandant ASC Centre (North), received the salute in the parade.

Rinku Tripathi, wife of Brigadier Alok Tripathi, conducted the line yard wearing ceremony along with parents of the students.

She also presented the Gaurav Pathak to the parents of the newly-passed out soldiers.

Later, addressing the gathering, Brigadier Tripathi said career prospects in the Indian Army had substantially improved and wanted soldiers to strive for professional excellence.

Major N S Sharma was the Parade Commander.
