CHENNAI: June 26, 2014 was a red letter day for the students of Jagannath Vidyalaya as they attended a seminar on Cancer and Tobacco awareness by Reena, working in an NGO for cancer and AIDS awareness. Students from Classes 2 to 11 attended the seminar in two batches of primary and secondary levels.
The importance of a healthy lifestyle, consuming nutritious food and habit-breaking techniques was discussed.
Girls of higher classes were made aware of uterus-related cancer diagnosis, and precautionary measures against the dreaded disease were explained to them in the seminar.
The students and staff thanked Reena for the enlightening talk and were benefited by her knowledge.
