No Admissions in Four Engg Colleges

Four engineering colleges have been disaffiliated by Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) following which the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has been asked to cancel admissions in these colleges.

BANGALORE: Four engineering colleges have been disaffiliated by Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) following which the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has been asked to cancel admissions in these colleges.

The colleges are Sri Belimata Institute of Technology (Nelamangala), Basava Academy of Engineering, GSS Institute of Technology and Sri Krishna School of Engineering and Management. “Candidates who have opted for these colleges will be accommodated somewhere else,” said KEA Executive Director Ramegowda. Meanwhile, 19,350 candidates have opted to keep the seats that were allotted in the first round.

As many as 32,352 students have opted Choice-2, 4,812 opted Choice-3 and 296 students have decided to opt out of the entire allotment process.
