Style Meets Indulgence on Starry Night

The coming together of PC Jeweller and Manish Malhotra proved to be a perfect merger of high fashion and dazzling accessories.

Style Extravaganza by The New Indian Express was every bit a glamorous evening. The coming together of PC Jeweller and Manish Malhotra proved to be a perfect merger of high fashion and dazzling accessories.

While Bollywood actor Kangana Ranaut took the glamour quotient to a whole new level, invitees such as fashion guru Prasad Bidapa, designer Anu Nagappa and socialites like Rubi Chakravarti, Aloma Lobo, Urmila Devi and Arlene Pinto gave the evening an added touch of glitz.

Editorial director of The New Indian Express, Prabhu Chawla, kicked things off with a fantastic introduction to fashion, politics, politics in fashion and set the stage for a fusion of style and sophistication.

“It was a lovely showcase and every piece from Malhotra’s collection was absolutely stunning,” said Meher Unvalla, one of the guests at the scintillating event.

Manish Malhotra chose a spring palette of cream, peach, pink for his range of couture that included embroidered blouses, lace tops and legenhas. Pops of navy blue outfits also made an appearance on the ramp as male models strode down the catwalk in sherwanis, bandhgalas and Jodhpuris. All outfits were given a regal lift with gold, diamond, ruby and emerald jewellery from PC Jeweller - a beautiful blend of flawless craftsmanship and contemporary design.

With a full house, The Mysore hall at the ITC Gardenia had little room for movement. Fashionista and filmmaker Sapana Singh Appiah said the event was a great success with a vibrant buzz of the city’s who’s who. “The exclusivity of the event made it all the more enjoyable as the jewellery and clothes stood out from what usually end up being a circus of entertainment. Classy clothes, sparkling stones and  great hospitality made this one a night to remember,” said Appiah.
