BENGALURU: A woman was allegedly murdered by her husband over a domestic row earlier this week. The deceased is Kalavati (26), a resident of Muneshwara Block in HAL police limits. Police sources said Kalavati married Munireddy (30), a native of Tamil Nadu and a garment salesman, seven years ago.
On Monday, Kalavati picked a quarrel with Munireddy about shifting their residence. The argument turned ugly and he strangled her before fleeing the house. The incident came to light on Tuesday when Kalavati’s brother came to the house after his phone calls went unanswered. He found the body and informed the police.
Police said Munireddy had been angry with Kalavati as she did not have a job but was spending money recklessly. “We have credible information about Munireddy’s whereabouts. We will arrest him soon,” a police source said.
