BNM College Principal in Police Custody

BENGALURU: Basavangudi police have been given custody of BNM College principal Srinivas Rao Mane till Monday afternoon. He was arrested on Friday along with superintendent Basavaraju and clerk Nagaraju.

Rajendra, an attender, had been arrested earlier on Friday along with eight students of different colleges who were found writing their BCom and BBM exams after the deadline for sending answer scripts back to the university was over.

The Basavangudi police are looking into various angles, officials said. “We do not know if this was done before. We are also not ruling out the possibility of a bigger racket considering that these were students of different colleges writing the exam,” police said.
