BENGALURU: The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) said  the city may receive rain for the next 24 hours as there is low pressure area over Southwest Bay of Bengal adjoining areas of coastal Tamil Nadu. The city received rain because of this on Thursday as well.

IMD director B Puttanna told Express,  “The rain gauge at 8.30 pm showed 14.5 mm of rainfall and the maximum temperature dropped by 4 degrees Celsius. The average is 27 degrees Celsius,” he added. The BBMP control room staff said the intensity of rain was less and there were no problems. Only one complaint related to a small tree falling down was reported from Jeevan Bima Nagar, they added. However, traffic slowed down in several parts of the city.
