BENGALURU: Worried about the continued reports of sexual abuse in school campuses, the government has decided to frame regulations for preschools, besides making it mandatory for them to register with it.
Women and Child Development Minister Umashree told reporters that registration of creches, daycare centres and kindergartens will be made compulsory.
Warning Against Fee Hike: Meanwhile, Karnataka Students Parents Forum has threatened to take school managements to court if they increase fees to implement the safety guidelines laid down by the police and the Education Department. Forum president Ravi said that the safety guidelines won’t be a burden on schools.
