2 Killed as Speeding Bus Rams Into Bike

BENGALURU: Two employees of a private company were killed when a speeding bus rammed into their bike on Jigani Link Road in Hebbagodi near Electronics City on Sunday.

Traffic was thrown out of gear around the area as friends of the deceased and public staged a protest demanding immediate compensation, police said.

The deceased Aravind (21) and Ganesh (23) hailed from Tamil Nadu and were residing at Yarandahalli near Anekal.

The police said the incident took place in the morning.

Aravind, who was getting late for work, requested Ganesh to drop him on his bike.

They were on their way towards Jigani when a private bus rammed into the bike.

Both Aravind and Ganesh suffered severe injuries and were shifted to a nearby hospital where they were declared brought dead.

Police rushed to the site of the accident but the bus driver managed to flee the scene. Hebbagodi police are on the lookout for the driver.
