BENGALURU: Girinagar Corporator H S Lalitha (BJP) is said to be receiving treatment for health complications after she took medication for low blood pressure. She has been in the hospital for over a month. Mayor Shanthakumari and Basavanagudi MLA Ravi Subramanya visited her on Tuesday following rumours that she had tried to commit suicide.
The MLA told Express “Her condition was serious last week and she is recovering. Comments about her alleged involvement in (a saree) theft case (in a mall) have put her and her family members under a lot of stress. She was depressed,” he added. Upparpet police had arrested Lalitha on April 22 after a mall owner complained that she had stolen sarees.
