Police Arrest Plumber for Molesting 6-year-old Girl

BENGALURU: A 47-year-old plumber was arrested by the Chandra Layout police for molesting a 6-year-old girl. The incident was reported in Chandra Layout police station limits on Tuesday evening.

The arrested has been identified as John. According to the police, on Tuesday evening, the 6-year-old girl was playing near a building under construction where John works. John reportedly called her inside the building and removed her clothes. The girl informed her parents, who are daily wage workers.The victim’s parents immediately rushed to Chandra Layout police station and lodged a complaint.

3 Held for Robbery, Assault

Three persons were arrested by the Hullimavu police for assaulting and robbing a man of Rs 1,35,000. The arrested have been identified as Prabhakar Reddy(24), Mahesh Ramakrishnappa(24) and Krishna Mahadevappa (24). They robbed a business man of  Rs 1,35,000 near NICE road. According to the police, one of them first crashed into the victim’s bike, near Gottegere lake, causing him to fall and sustain injuries.

Two of them approached him in a car and offered to take him to a hospital. However, they took him to NICE Road instead. There the accused threatened, assaulted and robbed him, and threw him out of the car.
