Cheer Up Nooks and Corners

BENGALURU: Dead spaces can come to life with a bit of imagination. I have always felt that nooks and corners in a home are the most fun to do up. Just think out of the box so that whenever your eyes wander to a corner, it gives you a visual pleasure.

You could play around with indoor plants like ‘mother-in-law’s tongue’ or ‘money plant’ or a potted palm. All these plants are not only low maintenance but also have been scientifically proven to improve the quality of indoor air.

You could also pair an old trunk with a lampshade to give a corner, some design spunk. The truck also doubles up as a storage space so you win extra points in blending aesthetics with functionality.

Pottery, pebbles, dried twigs are a great way to dress empty spaces. If you have a big pot,  source some inexpensive bamboo sticks and there you have a prefect little arrangement for a dead space in your home!

I prefer minimalism while doing up my home so that things are easy to clean considering the Indian weather and dust that we have to deal with everyday.

So go ahead transform those dead spaces in your home but make sure, the visual delights are easy to maintain.
