BENGALURU: Hundreds of students from various schools visited 81 jurisdictional police stations on Saturday and interacted with the officers. The event was organised as part of Police Day.

Speaking to reporters,  Additional Commissioner of Police Alok Kumar said the ‘Meet the Police’ programme was successful and both children and policemen enjoyed the interaction. The officers explained to the students how they work and carry out investigations.

Sessions mainly focused on ways to deal with strangers and things they need to do when some one tries to molest or touch them inappropriately.

A senior police officer said, “It was a different feeling, interacting with children and young students.”
