Will Boycott Evaluation, Say Teachers

BENGALURU:  The faculties of state government high schools and pre university colleges have put the students who are preparing for final exams in to stress by threatening to boycott the evaluation work.

A week ago, the Pre University College Teachers Association had threatened of boycotting the evaluation work if their demands were not met. Now the Secondary School Assistant Masters Association has placed a similar demand.

“This happens every year, they remain quite through out the year and now want their demands to be met,” said Bhoomika C R a Class 10 student. “First they do not attend evaluation for the first few days saying they are protesting, later they compromise and start evaluation, but the thing is, to finish the process fast, they do erratic evaluation,” says Manvitha another student.

Association president H K Manjunath said they are forced to boycott evaluation as the government has not solved their pay disparity issue despite several promises.
