

BENGALURU: State Bank of India Chief General Manager Rajni Mishra launched the ‘Intouch’ multipurpose international debit card in Bengaluru.
The technology works on Near Field Communication and allows users to make faster payments at merchant locations by just tapping the card. Reserve Bank of India has permitted the use of this card and has waived authenticating with PIN up to `2,000.
Mishra, who launched the card at Mantri Mall, Malleswaram, said, SBI is the first public sector bank to adopt this latest technology. With the use of this card, queues will disappear, she added. The card was also unveiled at Garuda Mall by Deepankar Bose, General Manager (NW-I).
