IPS Officers Transferred, Kishore Chandra Heads CID

BENGALURU: Along with the promotion of city police commissioner M N Reddi, the state government also transferred several IPS officers on Friday.

After the retirement of Bipin Gopal Krishna as the Director General of Police, Criminal Investigation Department, Special Units and Economic Offences, Bengaluru, Kishore Chandra has been given the post.

Chandra was earlier working as the Director General of Police and Commandant General, Home Guards, Ex-officio Director Fire Force, Bengaluru.

Praveen Sood, who was earlier the Additional Director General of Police, Karnataka State Reserve Police, is now the Additional Director General of Police, Administration. The previous ADGP, Alok Mohan has been transferred as the Additional Director General of Police, Law and Order.

Rajvir Pratap Sharma, Additional Director General of Police, Railways, Bengaluru, has been transferred as the Additional Director General of Police, Communication, Logistics and Modernisation, Bengaluru. The previous head, S Parashiva Murthy, is now the Additional Director General of Police, Karnataka State Reserve Police.

P Ravindranath, Additional Director General of Police, Research and Restructuring, has been transferred as the Additional Director General of Police, Police Computer Wing.  The previous ADGP Bhaskar Rao has been transferred as the Additional Director General of Police, Directorate of Civil Rights Enforcement. T Suneel Kumar, Additional Director General of Police, Bengaluru Metropolitan Task Force, has been transferred as the Additional Director General of Police, Internal Security Division. The previous ADGP Amar Kumar Pandev is now the Additional Director General of Police, Railways.
