BENGALURU: A division bench headed by Justice Vineet Saran on Friday, directed authorities to withhold the results of the election of Board of Directors of Karnataka State Co-operative Federation Limited. Elections are scheduled to be held on August 1.
The bench has posted the writ appeal filed by D Putte Gowda and Kishen Hegde Kolkebail to Tuesday for further hearing.
The petitioners have challenged the interim order passed by a single bench allowing MLA G T Devegowda’s name to be included in the list of eligible candidates.
On Wednesday, the High Court had cleared the candidature of Devegowda, following a writ petition filed by him. He was denied permission to contest the election after his nomination was rejected by the returning officer in Mysuru on various grounds.
