BENGALURU: Nutan Wodeyar, Chief Commissioner for Income Tax, Bengaluru, said the city will have special counters for e-filing of tax returns at Gayathri Vihar in Palace Grounds on August 29, 30 and 31.
She was speaking at a seminar for tax returns organised here on Monday.
Principal Chief Commissioner of Income Tax (Karnataka and Goa) Dinesh Verma spoke about the increasing role of e-filing and said that efforts are being made by the I-T Department to reduce grievances of the taxpayers.
The seminar was attended by senior officers of the I-T Department, who also delivered presentations on e-filing. Several taxpayers attended.
This the first time that a seminar was held on the topic of e-filing of tax returns.
