BENGALURU: BJP national president Amit Shah is elated at his party’s victory in the BBMP polls. Congratulating party workers for the victory, Shah said it reflected the popularity of the Narendra Modi government at the Centre. “It also shows their appreciation towards the work that our government is doing,” he said.
Shah was speaking to reporters during a brief stopover at the Kempegowda International Airport here on his way to Delhi. He was greeted by BJP state president Prahlad Joshi, Union ministers Ananth Kumar, Sadananda Gowda and former deputy chief minister R Ashoka at the airport. Shah termed BBMP results as “a verdict of the people against the state government.”
