BENGALURU: A 28-year-old race-course attendant was allegedly murdered by his colleague here on Wednesday. The police have arrested one Sahil Babu (24).

The deceased has been identified as Jaseem Akhtar, a native of Kishanganj in Bihar. According to police, Akhtar and Sahil often quarrelled over petty issues. Police suspect that a similar quarrel ensued on Tuesday night, when Sahil is suspected to have stabbed Akhtar and later dumped the body in a storm water drain.

The murder came to light when some people noticed blood near the drain. When police started the investigation, Sahil was not present at his workplace, but they later found out his whereabouts. A case has been registered in High Grounds police station.
