Career Fair For Recent School Graduates

BENGALURU: For students who are on the verge of choosing a degree after Class 12 , ‘Career Utsav’ will help them make practical decisions.

It is scheduled to be held on December 5 and 6  at  NIMHANS Convention Centre. This is third time in a row the career fair is being held. Author Chetan Bhagat will be inaugurating the event.

It will also take place on December 19 and 20 at the T.M.A PAI Convention Hall, Mangaluru. It will target students who need to make a career choice after 12th standard.

The parameters which will be highlighted  are educational, financial or personal. This exhibition will  host an arena of workshops and conferences on different career options. Twelve detailed workshops seminars will be conducted on engineering, law, healthcare, CA, fashion design, film and media.

Mock tests will be conducted for science and commerce students, hence providing them a firsthand experience of facing competitive examinations.  More than 10 Universities and 40 instituitions are expected to take part.

Universities such as Manipal University, NITTE University, SRM University, PES University, Alliance University, Amity University, Ramaiah University, Reva University, CMR University, Presidency University, NIFT, MIT Pune; Whistling Woods are part of the event.

With the increasing cost of education, information on loans will be provided. Banks like SBI and start-ups like Make Me Learn are partnering in the event to encourage students to be more independent and not limit themselves.“There is a huge gap between what we learn and what the real life has in store for us. We are bringing a lot of innovations in the education system to bridge this gap. We have done a lot of ground work to ensure students come along with their parents to attend the workshops and seminars that talk about various opportunities life has in store for them,” said Mr. Pradeep Naik, Founder &CEO, Fuel India, the host of the event.
