Man Tries to Snatch Bag, Nabbed

BENGALURU: A 19-year-old youth who made an attempt to snatch a bag from a woman was caught by local people and was thrashed before handing over to police in RPC Layout.

According to the police, the incident occured around 7.30 am when a woman was walking towards her home.

The accused, Zabeer Pashar, a resident of Shamanna garden, was standing near a bakery and was waiting for lonely people commuting on the road. As he saw the lady walking alone, he followed her for a few metres and snatched her bag and ran away. By then the lady raised an alarm and the local residents nabbed the accused before he tried to flee.  “A few locals waylaid the man and caught him red-handed. Soon, the police was alerted, who rushed to the spot and arrested the accused,” said the Vijayanagar police.
