BENGALURU: In an attention diversion case, two people on a bike made away with `8.5 lakh from a businessman’s car near Bilekalli traffic signal on Monday.
The victim is identified as Singhania, a businessman. Singhania was in his car when the incident took place at around 9pm. He was waiting at a traffic signal when two people on a bike stopped next to his car and told him that oil was leaking from the rear of his car.
Singhania was on the phone and got out of the car to check. The two young men then picked up the suitcase containing `8.5 lakh and fled the spot. Mico Layout police have registered a case. The city has been witnessing a series of attention diversion cases in the recent past.
