Wife Beats Up Man in Public

BENGALURU: A man was thrashed by his estranged wife at a temple in Bengaluru on Monday.

A large number of devotees had gathered at the Venkataramanaswamy Temple in Mahalakshmi Layout on account of Vaikunta Ekadashi celebrations. Srinivas, his relative Sunita and Srinivas’ wife Ramya were at the temple for the same. However, Ramya had come separately.

Even though Srinivas and Ramya had been living separately for the past five years, she was enraged when she saw her husband with Sunita and attacked him. Meanwhile Sunita tried to intervene, on which Ramya attacked her too.

Other devotees present at the venue separated the quarrelling women. Later, both Sunita and Ramya filed complaints at Mahalakshmi Layout police station.

Srinivas and Ramya were married seven years ago. Due to domestic issues, the couple separated five years ago. In the past, she had filed a dowry harassment case against him in Nandini Layout police station, while he had filed for a divorce.
