Robbers Strike Despite Tight Security

BENGALURU:  Despite the elaborate security arrangements in the city after the terror attack on Sunday, robbers struck freely in several places on Tuesday night and Wednesday.

Two bike-borne men snatched the gold chains of two elderly women after diverting their attention at Kodigehalli and Chennammanakere Achchkat police station limits.

While Prabha was robbed of her chain in Kodigehalli on Tuesday night, Vijaylakshmi became a victim in Chennammanakere Achchkat on Wednesday.

Three engineering students waiting for a bus to Tumakuru in Peenya were robbed of their valuables by two armed bike riders on Tuesday night.

In Subramanya Nagar near Basaveshwaranagar, miscreants robbed Kumar, a private company employee, when he was taking out his bike near his house on Wednesday morning.

In a similar incident in Parappana Agrahara police limits, 32-year-old Nagaraj, a Mico employee, was robbed on Wednesday.
