BENGALURU: Adamya Chetana Utsava, the annual cultural and literary festival, concluded in the city on Sunday. Over 170 women scientists were felicitated for their contribution to science by Governor Vajubhai Vala on the occassion.
“Women scientists have been a significant part of important missions like the Mars Mission. If given an opportunity, they will excel in any field.” he said.
Women scientists from establishments such as ISRO, DRDO and NAL were felicitated.
With the theme ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’, this year’s Adamya Chetana Utsava saw an exhibition showcasing the country’s progress in the fields of space research, aerospace and defence sectors. It also offered visitors a chance to interact with the scientists.
