CHENNAI: Kola Perumal Chetty Vaishnav Senior Secondary School celebrated its 42nd annual sports meet at the ICF stadium on December 24, 2014.
Arun C Bharat, IRS Commissioner of Income Tax, Aayakar Bhawan, declared the sports meet open. The programme began with a colourful march past. Students entertained the audience with a mass drill and a Korean dance performance. Various other events were conducted.
A K Chithraipandian, general secretary, Tamil Nadu State Volley Ball Association, presided over the function. Akila Bharat, assistant professor, M O P Vaishnav College, was the guest of honour.The sports meet came to an end with a vote of thanks and the national anthem.
The secretary and correspondent Rajesh Desai, the principal, L Neelakanta Pillai and headmaster of SMJV School Arthanari graced the occasion.
