DVS Urges BBMP to use Funds Efficiently

BENGALURU: Law Minister D V Sadananda Gowda lauded the Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) for its efforts and said funds of the civic body should be used judiciously to ensure that development takes place in the city. He was speaking at the inauguration of a gymnasium at a park in Nagapura on Monday.

“The facility (gymnasium) is very good and can be utilised by people residing in the vicinity. This type of development, which helps the public, is always welcome,” Gowda said.

On the occasion, around 500 people carrying fire torches took out a procession from Rajajinagar 1st Block to Shankaramutt Circle to raise awareness against intoxication. Area corporator S Harish was present.

1-kilometre-long National Flag

Members of the Akhila Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishat (ABVP) unfurled a national flag measuring one km at Yelahanka and took out a rally which witnessed the participation of around 5,000 students.

Actor Tara Anuradha flagged off the rally.
