Special Drive Against Habitual Offenders

BENGALURU: In a special drive on Friday night, the police raided the houses of 350 habitual offenders across the city and questioned them about their activities.

Meanwhile, the police intensified patrolling in the interior areas to make sure that no untoward incidents are reported.

A senior police officer said that these offenders will be questioned on regular basis and they have been asked to provide information about unlawful activities in their area. The drive continued till the early hours of Saturday. P Harishekaran, Additional Commissioner of Police (Crime), said the drive was conducted to keep a strict vigil on rowdy elements after rise in criminal activities like robbery, chain snatching and burglary in and around the city.
