MANGALURU: A 30-year-old man has allegedly raped a homemaker at Ananthady village under Vittal police station limits.
The accused has been identified Naveen of Karinka in the village. Sources in the Vittal police station said accused Naveen used to call the victim over phone.
On Friday, he barged into the house of the victim when her husband had gone for work. The accused raped the victim and threatened her of dire consequences if she disclosed the incident to her husband or police.
However, the victim mustered courage and approached Vittal police officers later. The police have registered a case and launched a manhunt for the accused.
