Hummus Billahme (with meat and pinenuts)

  • Pre-preparation time : 60 minutes
  • Serves : 8
  • Ingredients
  • Kabuli chana 2 cups boiled
  • Garlic cloves 1 no peeled
  • Lemon juice 3 tsp
  • Tahini paste 2 tbsp
  •  Olive oil  3 tbsp
  • Ice cubes ½ cup
  • Salt to taste
  • Topping
  • Lamb boneless 200 gm chopped
  • Vegetable oil 1 tbsp
  • Cinnamon powder a pinch
  • Allspice powder a pinch
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Pine nuts 2 tbsp toasted
  • Parsley 1 tsp chopped
  • Keep some chickpeas for garnish and blend all the ingredients in a food processor to get a smooth paste, adding oil gradually
  • Check for seasoning
  • In a pan, sauté lamb, adding spices and seasonings
  • Place in a serving platter
  • Garnish with chickpeas, cooked lamb, chopped parsley and pine nuts
  • Pita bread could be served as an accompaniment
