BENGALURU: From flower vendors to newspaper agents, an app provides a platform for all businesses.
Goodbox offers businesses an e-commerce platform at what is said to be a hundredth of the cost of developing their own app. The Goodbox Partner App helps businesses create a store, get discovered and start selling to directly to consumers.
Its Goodpay feature provides consumers with the option of paying businesses the option of paying online or with cash. SV Newspaper agency is an example of a business that has benefited from this option.
Goodpay lets businesses send payment requests to customers. The agency used to visit more than 900 clients’ flats to collect monthly payments. It started using Goodpay to send payment requests. Now, most customers pay the agency via Goodbox.
The app was released last year, and has over 3,000 businesses registered with it. The download count has exceeded 75,000.
Mayank Bidawatka, co-founder of Goodbox, said, “Our primary focus is catering to daily and monthly needs, like food and travel. So top businesses enlisted include supermarkets, restaurants and corporate canteens.”
The app’s target users are people who own smartphones. “But to be more specific, we are targeting working professionals who have the money but not the time. So Goodbox helps save time — both the consumer’s and the producer’s,” he added.
Goodbox doesn’t take on deliveries for any of its partners. This remains the responsibility of the business.
Users can favourite a store by the click of a button. The store users favourite can send them broadcast messages — important updates, marketing messages or exclusive offers.
