BENGALURU: A 14-year-old boy drowned in Chikkabanawara Lake in Soladevanhalli on Wednesday.
The deceased has been identified as Chandrashekar, a son of Chikkamuniyappa resident of Soladevanahalli. He was studying in 8th standard in a government school.
The police said that the incident occurred around evening and Chandrashekar after returning home from the school had gone for swimming. Two of his friends were also with him when the mishap took place and after he drowned they alerted parrserby, who then informed fire and emergency personnel. The body was fished after an operation and Soladevanahalli police are investigating.
