BENGALURU: THE Subramanyapura police on Saturday arrested a 28-year-old woman and her paramour for allegedly killing her husband.
The accused have been identified as Manjula, a domestic help, and her paramour Anji (32). They are accused of killing Vijayendra Naik, a mason.
A senior police officer said, “On Thursday evening, Manjula called Anji to her place. When Naik was sleeping in a room, they attacked him with a blunt weapon, packed his body in a matress and threw it in a vacant site adjacent to a drainage near Hanumagiri Layout.”
On Friday, when Naik’s parents could not contact him, they inquired with Manjula. She told them that he hasn’t come home and went to a police station and filed a kidnap case.
On Saturday, a passerby noticed the body near the drinage and alerted the police. During investigation, when Manjula was interrogated, she confessed to the crime and revealed Anji’s role. Both were arrested.
