BENGALURU: Tension prevailed at Cubbon Park Metro station after smoke was seen at the office premises and that led to train services being suspended as precautionary measure.
The fear led to few of the passengers running out of the station for safety. While Fire and Safety personnel were rushed to the spot, Metro staff successfully fixed the problem.
Later BMRCL officials said that at around 11.15 am, the station controller smelled something burning and noticed smoke from the cable gallery . Immediately, the trains services were stopped as a precautionary measure.
The train services were delayed 10-15 minutes before being resumed. There was no evacuation of commuters. There is no cause for panic.
