BENGALURU: A 31-year-old man fell to his death from the third floor of an under-construction building at Nagashettihalli in Sanjaynagar on Sunday.
Raju, a native of Bagepalli in Chikkaballapur district, used to work in a flower decorating shop near Yeshvantpur on a daily wage basis.
Police said Raju and four others were sleeping in the building where his friend is a security guard. Raju had told the guard that he would come there to sleep as he had had no work for the last two days.
Around 1.30 am, he woke up to to go to the toilet, but lost balance and fell. A resident, who heard a sound, alerted the guard, who rushed him to a nearby hospital where he was declared brought dead.
Sanjaynagar police are waiting for the autopsy report to ascertain whether Raju was under the influence of alcohol.
