BENGALURU: Raja Rajeshwarinagar police on Friday arrested Aryavardhan, an astrologer and numerologist, on charges of molesting a woman. He was later released on bail.
The victim, who hails from Andhra Pradesh, had filed a case against Aryavardhan alleging that on December 11, she had come to the city to get trained in numerology at his office.

Then, he forced her to show a mole on her high on the pretext of predicting her future. As she refused, he started molesting her and she raised an alarm. He then threatened to kill her if she  told anyone about this.
She approached RR Nagar police and filed a case of attempt to rape the next day. Soon after this, Aryavardhan fled from the city and a team was formed to nab him.

The police, who went looking for him to Tamil Nadu, arrested him when he was about to visit a temple in Puducherry. During interrogation, he confessed. Preliminary probe revealed that Aryavardhan, a resident of KG Nagar, was involved in similar incidents but they were not reported. He runs several numberology training centres across the city, a senior police officer said.
