BENGALURU: FILM director Nagashekar and stunt director Ravi Verma, who were absconding, surrendered before Tavarekere police on Saturday morning. They went missing after two actors, who were shooting for their film Maasti Gudi, drowned in TG Halli lake near Magadi during the shoot of the climax scene.
The duo was taken into custody and were produced before the magistrate in Magadi in Ramanagara district.
The accused have been booked under various charges based on a complaint by Superintendent of the Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board at TG Halli dam. The two actors were allegedly forced to jump into the lake during the film shoot.

Director Nagashekar, stunt choreographer Ravi Verma and unit manager Bharath surrendered at the station.
On Monday, when the ‘Maasti Gudi’ team was filming the climax scene, actors Raghav Uday and Anil Kumar jumped off a helicopter into the reservoir and drowned. However, lead actor Duniya Vijay, who also jumped after them, survived. Uday’s body was found on Wednesday and Anil’s on Thursday.
Speaking to Express, an investigating officer said, “A special team was formed to nab them. However, Duniya Vijay brought them to the police station on Saturday morning. They were produced before the court after interrogation.”
