School bus collision damages 12 vehicles 

BENGALURU: About 10 bikes and two cars were damaged after a school bus, allegedly driven in a negligent manner, collided with them on Guttadahalli Main Road on Tuesday morning.

According to sources, the bus belonging to National Public School was on its way to ferry children to the school. The incident took place around 7.10 am when the driver lost control over the wheels due to brake failure, and collided with the parked vehicles, damaging them.

Basavanagudi traffic police said no case has been registered yet. Driver Boregowda was detained and the school bus was seized initially. But later, the driver and the bus were released as both the parties (school administration and the victims) did not file any complaint.

Car knocks down 24-year-old, killing him on the spot
A  24- year-old man died on the spot after a car, being driven in a negligent manner, knocked him down from behind on Begur Road on Monday night.The deceased has been identified as Iftiqar (24), a carpenter and a resident of Begur. The incident took place around 8.40 pm when Iftiqar was heading home after work on his two- wheeler. A  speeding car that was coming from behind knocked down his vehicle, killing him on the spot. The car driver abandoned the vehicle and fled from the spot.Passerbys rushed Iftiqar to a hospital nearby where he was declared brought dead.
