ATM cash theft: Van driver's wife surrenders with Rs 79 lakh cash in Bengaluru

Police have arrested the wife of the driver of a cash management service provider who had robbed Rs 1.37 crore on November 23.

BENGALURU: Police have arrested the wife of the driver of a cash management service provider who had robbed Rs 1.37 crore on November 23. According to police, the arrested has been has been identified as Elvin, wife of Domnic.

"Elvin surrendered in Banaswadi police station along with her kid. She surrendered before the police with Rs 79 lakh on Sunday night," police said. Domnic had robbed Rs 1.37 crore along with the vehicle on Wednesday afternoon while they were near Bank of India on K G Road.

On Thursday morning, the same vehicle was found abandoned near Mount Carmel College in Vasanth Nagar. The police had also recovered Rs 45 lakh cash and the gunman's gun in the vehicle.

Police said, "Elvin is being further questioned to know the whereabouts of Domnic. Domnic who has taken around Rs 12 lakh with him is still on run." Four teams have been formed to nab Domnic and it is suspected that he is still in the city.
