New Bengaluru-Mangaluru train to run from tomorrow

The inaugural special train will depart from Mangaluru Junction at 11.30 am and run along open path and timings.

BENGALURU: A new tri-weekly Express between Mangaluru and Yesvantpur will begin operations from April 9. Railway Minister Suresh Prabhakar Prabhu will flag off the train via video conference from Madgaon. 


The inaugural special train will depart from Mangaluru Junction at 11.30 am and run along open path and timings.


During regular service, Train No.16575/16576 will depart from Yesvantpur at 7.50 am on Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays and arrive at Mangaluru at 5.30 pm the same day. In the return direction, it will depart from Mangaluru Jn at 11.30 am on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays and arrive at Yesvantpur at 8.30 pm the same day.


The train will have stoppages at Chikbanavar, Nelamangala, Kunigal, Yediyuru, B G Nagar, Chennarayapatna, Hassan, Sakaleshpur, Subrahmanya Road, Kabakaputtur and Bantawala in both directions.


The train will have seven general chair cars,  five general second class coaches, two second class cum luggage and brake vans with disabled friendly compartments.
