BENGALURU: The day-long Namma Bengaluru Habba at Sankey Tank ended on a horrific note for a few women at the venue. They complained to the police towards late evening that they were molested.
Two women who were on a casual stroll at Sankey Tank were in for a rude shock when a man stripped and tried to flash at them. They approached the police who were at the spot on the Sanjaynagar entrance of Sankey Tank. Police said that a woman complained to them that a man appeared before them and starting touching himself inappropriately.
According to police sources, there were at least three other women who complained that they were touched inappropriately while they were taking a stroll during the festival. However, the women refused to lodge a complaint.
Sadashivanagar police said that they have not received any formal complaint. “There were around 70 police personnel including women cops and Hoysala vehicles were also on patrol. If there are any such incidents, they can report to us and action will be taken accordingly,” a police source said.
