‘Bellandur-ORR skywalk will be ready in 3 months’

BENGALURU: One week after a mass protest was held by residents of Bellandur demanding a skywalk, a team of officials including MP PC Mohan and MLA Arvind Limbavalli, visited the spot on Saturday. Mohan, later assured residents that the skywalk will be ready in 3 months.

Recently, Sanjay Giri (19), died trying to cross the Bellandur-Outer Ring Road opposite Akme Harmony apartments. This led to a protest by residents. While the intention of the meeting was to have a site survey and a no-objection certificate for the skywalk, BMRCL officials asked for some time to do a feasibility study, residents said.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (East) Abhishek Goyal said safe pedestrian crossing measures would be taken immediately at Ibbalur and Bellandur junction.
