Geetha Vishnu still missing, actor’s son quizzed for possession of marijuana

The city police which is on a hunt for the fugitive Geetha Vishnu, has questioned three people including the younger son of actor Devaraj, in connection with accident and recovery of marijuana.

BENGALURU: The city police which is on a hunt for the fugitive Geetha Vishnu, has questioned three people including the younger son of actor Devaraj, in connection with accident and recovery of marijuana from his SUV.

The police has intensified their hunt for Vishnu, the accused and grandson of late MP and industrialist Adikesavalu, who rammed his SUV into a van. Five people, including two children were injured in the mishap. Vishnu was thrashed by the mob after the incident and was admitted to a private hospital from where he escaped later.

A senior police officer said that Vishnu is hiding in a neighbouring state and a special team
has been assigned with the task to nab him. The police is also probing into the marijuana found in the
car to trace the source and people behind it.

Sharanappa, DCP South said that, on Monday, Pranav, younger son of Devaraj, two others Faisal and Shashank  were questioned in the case. After the police had issued notice they had appeared for investigation. Sources from the police department said that more people will be questioned.

BBMP files complaint

Following a complaint by a BBMP engineer Nagraj, the Jayanagar Police has lodged another complaint against Vishnu for damaging 25 feet of footpath at the South End Circle. The engineer said that the BBMP has incurred a loss of `5 lakh rupees due to the accident. On September 27, Vishnu and his friends, travelling in an SUV, rammed into a car near South End circle. Those travelling in the cars got into a fight and  the public had to intervene to pacify them. When Jayanagar police checked the vehicles they recovered 100g of marijuana  from Vishnu’s car.
