Geetha Vishnu grilled by Central Crime Branch

Central Crime Branch (CCB) police on Thursday questioned Former MP and liquor baron Audikeshavulu’s grandson Geetha Vishnu for more than four hours.

BENGALURU: Central Crime Branch (CCB) police on Thursday questioned Former MP and liquor baron Audikeshavulu’s grandson Geetha Vishnu for more than four hours.Geetha Vishnu was arrested for causing an accident and also for possessing 300 gram of marijuana in his car. He also had evaded arrest by escaping from Mallya hospital.

According to police sources, Geetha Vishnu denied the fact that it was not his marijuana that they got in his car but police are in no state to believe it. The questioning will continue on Friday as officials have already told him to appear before the team, police said.He was granted bail by a local court on Wednesday. Vishnu had rammed his SUV into a Maruti Omni van near South End Circle injuring six people on September 28. Police allegedly found 300 gm of marijuana in Vishnu’s car.

A case was registered against him under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act and Vishnu was admitted to Mallya hospital, where his aunt is the director. Last Friday morning, he escaped from the hospital with the help of hospital employee.On Sunday, police had arrested Vishnu’s brother-in-law Rajesh Naidu (35) for allegedly harbouring Vishnu when he was a fugitive. Police also issued notices pertaining to the incident to eight people to appear before them and give their statements, including Pranam Devaraj, brother of Kannada actor Prajwal Devaraj.
