Bengaluru: Miscreants attack ICICI ATM refilling staff; rob Rs 18 lakh

BENGALURU: Two unknown miscreants robbed more than Rs 18 lakh in cash when staff came to refill a kiosk in Bagalkunte on Monday morning.

According to police officials, the incident took place early in the morning when three officials came to refill an ICICI ATM kiosk in Bagalkunte. Two unknown persons who came on a bike attacked the officials with a knife and stabbed an official before fleeing with Rs 18.5 lakh.

Police said that the staff were attached to a company called SecureValue which takes care of the refilling ATM kiosks of ICICI Bank.

The injured persons identified as Sagar and Mohan are undergoing treatment in a private hospital.

The accused were wearing helmets and officials have not been able to identify them yet.

The police also said that the staff had more than a crore in cash in their vehicle which has remained safe.

Bagalkunte police have registered the case and investigation is underway.
