BENGALURU: The district principal city and sessions court on Friday convicted a former HR manager of software giant Infosys for murdering his wife.The convicted is Satish Kumar who murdered Priyanka Gupta on August 8, 2010 near Hulimavu. Judge Basavaraj Sappannanavar convicted Satish after hearing arguments of both the parties. The quantum of punishment will be pronounced on Saturday.
According to police, Satish played a trick on his wife that he wanted to make her happy by tying her hands and covering her eyes.Accordingly, he made Priyanka sit on a chair and tied her legs and hands and also covered her eyes.Later, he strangled her with a nylon rope and then slit her throat with a knife.
Subsequently, he floated a theory that some miscreants had murdered her and even filed a police complaint.
