BENGALURU: BMTC has started issuing smart card based student concessional passes in selected BMTC and BangaloreOne centres from Saturday. Students can get smart cards from BMTC bus terminals in Majestic, Shivajinagar, Kengeri, Domlur, Banashankari, ITPL, Jayanagar, Vijayanagar, Koramangala and Yeshwanthpur. 

The passes will also be available at BangaloreOne centres in JP Nagar, Sanjaynagar, Nagarbhavi, Jeevanahalli, Rajajinagar, K R Puram, R T Nagar, Kavalbyrasandra, Indiranagar, Malleswaram, Kodigehalli, Basaveshwaranagar LIC Colony and Arkere.

“Students have to follow the regular procedure of filling the application form and submit the attested copy of the application form (with the necessary documents) to get the smart card pass,” the release said. Student can fill in the e-application through transit.axisbank.co.in or www.mybmtc.com/passes A token number will be generated on the website. The token number has to be carried along with the attested copy of the application (along with seal & signature of the school/college principal) to the counters.
