BENGALURU: Magadi police solved the murder of a 10-year-old girl with the arrest of seven people, who are relatives of the girl.
It was suspected to be a case of human sacrifice as the girl, Ayesha, was found murdered in a canal in Hosahalli in Magadi on Friday.
A senior police official said based on information given by Ayesha’s father Mohammed Nurulla Gulab, the relatives were detained. Police said the arrested people and the girl’s parents were in a dispute over property. During interrogation, the seven confessed to the murder.
“We are probing all the angles,” a cop said.
